About this canvas

This piece uses an obi (kimono belt) fabric woven with golden threads all with different tints of gold, making it a great color spot for your interior. Can be used on the wall, but also makes a great table decoration.

Obi used in this canvas originate from the late Showa period (around 1980ies).


Explanation and meaning of pattern and colors

The characters mean "Happiness" and "Longevity" - a perfect combination to bring a pinch of luck to your space! It also reminds the sun by its' shape and color, so good fortune is just there!

 

Characteristics of the fabric 

This item uses luxurious and festive obi adorned with intricate patterns woven from layers of gold threads. The obi was well-suited for formal celebrations and special occasions.

 

Decoration Advice

Canvas can be displayed on a table, wall, etc. Hanging on a wall requires hooks, tacks or nails. It can also be displayed propped up on an easel. Ideal for a room makeover, housewarming gift, present, or souvenir for a loved one.
